Hang Lung Properties Management Trainee Programme
Background
Hang Lung Properties runs a management trainee programme every year. The company wanted to equip its trainees with core business skills as they move from university into the business world. Trainees do a lot of business writing to support senior managers, so professional writing skills were a priority.
Solution
Since 2024, Shine Training has run a set of workshops for each trainee intake, led by Kimberly Lau and Dr Mike Leung.
Professional Presence: business etiquette, professional image, workplace courtesy and the art of small talk
Effective Business Writing: writing etiquette, tone and formality, proofreading and formatting
Storytelling Presentation: a 12 hour workshop on structuring and delivering presentations
Project Management: a one-day online workshop covering planning, scheduling and managing a project
Most workshops ran face to face. In July 2026 the writing and presence workshops ran in Shanghai for trainees from Hong Kong and Shanghai.
