The Management Toolkit

Most staff don’t join a company thinking “I want to become a manager!” so when the opportunity comes, it often delivers with mixed results. The management toolkit training is designed for new managers and those who wish to refresh their skills. Our goal is to build management confidence and clarity around expectations as well as to give trainees an opportunity to practice the core skills of great managers.


Introduction

At school and university, we don’t learn how to manage others effectively, so when the opportunity comes, it often delivers mixed results. Whether you’re managing the millennial workforce, or you’re a Millennial yourself, the Management Toolkit training aims to help those who wish to build a selection of self and team management skills. Our goal is to develop managerial confidence and clarity around expectations as well as to allow trainees to practice the core skills of great managers.

  • Understand what makes the difference between a weaker and a more effective manager

  • Learn foundational skills in managing self and others

  • Understand essential feedback and coaching skills

  • Create an action plan to help drive engagement in themselves and their team

  • Understanding Values – Positive Motivation through Values

  • The Art of Delegation with ABC System

  • Professional Feedback – SBI2 Model

  • Coaching with The G.R.O.W. Model (Goal / Reality / Options / Way Forward)

  • S.M.A.R.T. Goal Setting

  • Essentials to Success with Board-Breaking – System, Mindset, Visualization


Day 2

  • Introduction to Coaching

  • Setting the Right Beliefs (Letting go of Limiting Beliefs)

  • How to Set Your Coaching Goals

  • How to Build Rapport & Trust

  • Breaking Common Coaching Assumptions

  • Understanding Values – Positive Motivation through Values (re-visit if have completed Management Toolkit)

  • Leadership Development Pipeline

  • Coaching with The G.R.O.W. Model (Goal / Reality / Options / Way Forward) OR Coaching with GAPS Model (Goals / Abilities / Perceptions / Success Factors)
